Restaurant technology due diligence identifies each system, its account owner and what will continue after closing. Compare the listing with an on-site inventory: a device being present does not prove that its software, data or subscription transfers.
Map the systems and agreements
List the website and domain, online ordering, POS, payment terminals, kiosk, digital menu, kitchen display, delivery integrations, email and network. Record vendor, contract term, renewal, fees, hardware ownership, administrator access and stored data. Review backups, security, support history and replacement needs.
Test the handover
Ask which contracts can be assigned, what needs a new agreement and what data can legally move. Verify domain control and administrator access. Test an order through the kitchen workflow, and document which systems must stay active and who will make changes.
