A focused technology inspection checks whether restaurant systems work together and whether the incoming owner can lawfully access and operate them. For a restaurant purchase, record the tools currently used and schedule a demonstration with the seller.

Trace a normal transaction

Follow an online, counter or kiosk order from customer selection through payment, kitchen preparation and pickup. Note manual re-entry, disconnected menus, duplicate fees and who can change prices or products. Test backups, internet dependencies, support access and a recovery procedure without exposing real customer credentials.

Review user access and integrations

List administrator, employee and vendor accounts; remove former users after closing and assign new owners through secure recovery methods. Verify which integrations, subscriptions and data permissions can move. Confirm the website domain, ordering service, POS, kiosk and kitchen display each have a named contact and documented renewal.

Plan the operating model

Decide what to keep, replace or reconnect before the first service under new ownership. For comparison, see the Restaurant Website, Self-Ordering Kiosk and Kitchen Display System. Our buying guide includes the other acquisition checks.
